Place / Activity

Nairobi - Amboseli National park
After we meet you at the international Airport in Kenya you start your journey to Amboseli National park. Should you arrive the day before we will book a hotel for you and pick you from there. After about 3.5 hours drive you can refresh in the beautiful camp while facing Kilimanjaro. The later afternoon is spent in the park with its many elephant families.

Amboseli Nationalpark
The morning game drive takes us to the swamps and the Observation hill from where the swamps and the plains can be seen from bird perspective. We are hoping to find lions but keep our eyes open for all kind of animals. The hot time of the day is spent in the camp, before we undertake a further game drive later in the afternoon.

Amboseli – Tsavo West
On a well maintained rough road you are heading further East passing the Chyulu Hills and Shetani Lava flow. After about 2 hours you enter Tsavo West National park and there is time to look out for game. Later in the afternoon you explore the nearer area and hopefully you encounter elephants or even a leopard.

Tsavo West National park
On the first morning we reach the Mzima Springs early when the place is still quite and fresh. Poacher’s lookout is not far and we do not want to miss the view from up there. While slowly moving back to the lodge to spend the often very hot midday we search for elephants and other game. A further game drive will take place in the afternoon.

The 2nd morning is dedicated to visit Shetani lava flow and to walk into Leviathan, the lava tunnel. A torch and good shoes are required. The afternoon is spent searching for animals.

Tsavo West – Tsavo East
The 2 Tsavos are separated by the Mombasa Highway and the railway. We will have to drive a short distance to the gate of the larger East park. There will be time to watch animals on our way to the camp near the swamps. In the afternoon we visit the plains and the swamp and who knows which species we will encounter.

In the morning we are driving to the Galana River and the Lugard Falls. The roads leading there partly follow small rivers with gallery forests and you never know who is around the corner – elephants, giraffes, leopard or antelopes. We will be back in the camp around noon and undertake a further excursion in the afternoon. There is a lot to explore.....

Tsavo Ost – Shimba Hills National park
We are heading to the coast on the East African Highway and drive South parallel to the ocean on an escarpment until we reach the lodge in the middle of the coastal forest. A pond is in front where Fish Eagle, Peter’s Colobus monkeys and others reside and feed. Red squirrels are all over and during dinner time Genet and Civet cats might visit as well as Bush babies.  In the afternoon we go searching for the beautiful Sable antelopes. Surely we will encounter other animals like Bush Bucks, elephants, yellow baboons, giraffes, warthogs and buffalos.
